At the World of Globes, we offer the BEST PRICES on one of the largest selections of gemstone globes and rare and beautiful Cinnabar pottery.. Our gemstone globes are ISO 9002 certified assuring you of the best quality available in the world market. Our Gemstone Globes include floor standing gemstone globes, various sized desk top gemstone globes and gemstone globe accessories.
Each of these beautiful globes has been painstakingly handcrafted by the most talented artists using more than 30 different precious and semi-precious gemstones from all over the world. The gemstones for the oceans have been pulverized, mixed with an epoxy, then poured to provide the visual appeal not found in inferior globes. (The precise control of the temperature is the most essential factor in this very complicated and extensive process cycle)
There is a vast amount of striking and dramatic hand-crafted stone work in every piece. Each of our floor standing and desk top globes are carefully placed into a 3 or 4 legged sturdy beautiful stand. At the bottom of the stand is a precise glass-topped integral brass compass incorporated to complement the globe. Each country is inlaid from a different stone, and the stones are individually cut and ground to exacting interlocking shapes, polished and set into this exquisite piece of art with detailed care. The elements of the globe are created out of lapis lazuli, mother of pearl, amethyst, African jade, tiger's eye, jasper, turquoise, purple quartz, onyx, unakite, abalone, green marble and many other beautifully hued and richly veined stones. The latitude and longitude lines are very thin ribbons of polished brass, embedded through the globe. Each globe requires ten individual steps to compose and it takes more than 2000 hours of labor to complete! The globe featured in this picture is a 13 inch diameter floor standing mother of pearl gemstone globe and generally sells for $1800 or more at retail shops.
When you buy a gemstone globe, the rare one of a kind pottery, or Cinnarbar vases from World of Globes, you are making an investment. These beautiful pieces are works of art. Something to be treasured forever and handed down from generation to generation.
